EMDR is a fairly new, nontraditional type of psychotherapy. It’s very effective for treating trauma such as PTSD and childhood. It doesn’t rely on talk therapy or medications but rather uses the clients own rapid, rhythmic eye movements to lessen the power of emotionally charged memories. EMDR can be used enhance and support other modalities.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of psychotherapy that believes we are all made up of parts that fulfill both healthy and unhealthy roles. Our core self can be hidden or shaped through trauma and life events as different parts evolve and take on roles in our lives. These parts are called Managers & Firefighters and their roles are to protect our Exiles. Therapy is focused on identifying, understanding, and healing to allow yourself to live in true self.

The Gottman Method is intended to remove barriers to conflict in relationships. The focus is on the Four Horsemen & their antidotes to increase understanding, empathy, intimacy, and respect.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a method used to treat negative thoughts and behaviors and provide healthier ways of coping. It can be an effective treatment for depression, eating disorders, anxiety, alcohol and drug abuse. It involves efforts to change thinking patterns by gaining a better understanding of the behavior. It incorporates new problem-solving skills to cope with difficult situations.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is used to help clients learn to stop avoiding, denying, or struggling with their inner emotions. Instead it helps clients focus in the present and future parts of their lives. Clients begin to accept where they are, choose the changes they want to make and take action, regardless of what is going on in their lives.
Training for Adoption Competency (TAC) provides critical awareness and skills for families navigating the complex challenges integrating foster and adoptive children into your family successfully. It provides parents with greater understanding from the child’s point of view and allows them to help the child with potential big and difficult emotions they might face.
